After the disaster from my last flight, I've had to rebuild the internal members in the fuselage, remount the engine, and fix a shattered wingtip. Both wings were damaged, but I only fixed the worse of the two. The other wing seems to fly a little slow, dragging down the right side of the plane. After correcting the radio to compensate for the difference, the plane flies straight, but a little slower. I may have to go back and fix that wing tip, too.

  • wow im gatting this plane for xmas and i jus wanted to kno is it easy to rebild ?

    thanks

  • This model comes as RTF or ARF, so initial assembly is pretty basic. It's built well, with lots of plywood pieces, and every little piece fits like a glove. When things break, it's usually the joints that break, so I find that repairing is normally just reglueing joints.

  • stupid fence!

  • ok that is awsome 5 out of 5. how much did that cost i have that plane too.

  • I'm very proud of you for rebuilding instead of trashing it. you did an excellent job. I have had the same P-51 PTS for 2 yrs and have fixed the same fuse damage as yours 2 times, and nose crunches 2 times.... still flies great. I just don't have the heart to let such a great plane die! I now have retracts in it and a 4 stroke. I love that plane! keep it alive and keep flying!

  • I did the same thing, but i hit our car port. I completely stripped it and rebuilt it and covered it, now I keep breaking the landing gear.

  • good fixing job though

  • YAKCRASHER:(good your peice of shit can fly again) Well... maybe for you its a piece of shit but for him its more than a toy... i bought a lot of fuselages because i didnt know how to fix an airplane now i spend time doing it and having fun with it its part of the hobby... well done Cratz1

  • good your peice of shit can fly again

  • very good and nice job

  • I have the SAME EXACT PLANE!!!!! Its a P-51 mustang warbird.

  • I actually prefer fixing planes to building them -- it's more of a challenge and usually takes less time. Most of my planes have been "fixed", some of them several times :-)
