  • Why is unhelpful if we argue that working memory is activated long-term memory? why should there be a separate system for episodic memories and skills that have been highly practiced, such as motor skills? Doesn't all memory involve some aspect of the motor cortex anyway? Even rehearsal of words or non-words involves the same part of the motor cortex we would use to say those words. We are always moving...we never stop moving until we are dead. The system is a dynamic,complex moving machine :)
