  • A nice demo. Thanks for posting it! I just bought my first fleece -- a Corriedale -- after only one spinning class (fool that I am), so I'm reading, watching everything I can find on the web about how to prep it.

  • Thanks for your comment. I just bought a Corriedale fleece recently, as well. It's really nice stuff. Soft and springy. Are you washing it first, or spinning in the grease?

  • I hope to see more video's from you processing whool. thank you for this one. I learn from it.

  • Thanks for your comment- I do hope to post more videos soon- perhaps wool combing-

  • thanks a lot for showing this technique..esp the tip about using a dog brush.

do you spin in the grease?

  • I do sometimes...but only when the fleece is clean enough to begin with. It helps if the fleece is freshly shorn because it's oily rather than waxy which happens after a while. Thanks for looking.

  • Is it possible to use a long draw with flick carded wool? Because it's not a tubular rolag like I see in other videos.

  • Wonderful! Thank you.

  • They _are_ soft. I bought a black one. Not the best in show, but nice enough for a beginner. I'm going to wash it to remove dirt, but I hope not to strip all the grease out. I think it must be good for the wool and good for your hands.
