Part 2 of the opening day at Disneyland TV special continues with Walt Disney reading his dedication of Frontierland. And then, they will give you a tour of Davy Crockett and then goes the Golden Horseshoe Revue, one of the longest running show at Disneyland. I did posted the 1962 special on the "Golden Horseshoe Revue" on my channel. But sadly, both Wally Boag and Betty Taylor passed away last month, may they both rest in peace. :( Next, it's the Mark Twain ship and then to Liberty Square and the train station. That ends Frontierland.
This special was aired on ABC on this date July 17th, 1955 which was 56 years ago today. I taped it right off of Disney Channel back in the late 90's as part of "Vault Disney". It was also included as part of the "Walt Disney Treasures" series of DVD's entitled "Disneyland USA".
Part 3 is coming up will be Tomorrowland.
