@llandudnoboy rather see service trains than railtours, don't think a4's ran service trains along the north wales coast.

I have to smile at the idea of the nineties being the golden age, I remember in the fifties at Llandudno Junction on a summer saturday there were trains going through every few minutes. You could see as many a ten while having a cup of tea in the refreshment room. There were many more platforms in those days and locos were mainly black fives a jubilees and royal scots on the expresses and the odd little tank engine from the Conway Valley branch. Happy days.

That's either change ringing of church bells or the ice cream truck (lorry's) around the corner at 1:00

I remember those trains well, how time flies.

No, just the usual Junk and rubbish really. Wall to wall 175 turbo stars. You can also spot the odd freight such as the twice weekly nuclear flasks with DRS 37's. There is also 1 loco-hauled train left, the Holyhead-Cardiff with an Arriva 57 and mk2s. Dont know what time this runs.
Boring? Look kid, you're 13, so I'll go easy on you - once upon a time, real locos, BRITISH locos, roamed the rails of Britain. Sadly, most have gone, and us old farts need a shot of nostalgia now and then. The 2 Class 101 'fart carts' sent a wee tear running down my cheek, and I won't tell you what happened to my pants when 37402 (My fave 37/4) appeared...! Don't diss what happened before your time, and enjoy what has been thankfully recorded for posterity.

Excellent stuff!! (But surely the "Golden Age" was 10 years earlier with wall to wall 40's ;-) )
