Today I was at Schofield Barracks exchange. There was this kiosk with a sweet girl from Turkey doing this procedure called eyebrow and facial threading. I'd never heard of it before but she said that's the only option they have other than tweezing for hair removal in Turkey because they don't do waxing at all.

She said it lasts a little longer than waxing and will be less painful each time you get it done. She says she just goes to sleep when hers is getting done. So for $39 for a full face and me, being the cave woman that I am decided to do it.

The lower parts like the chin and throat and eyebrows were pain free. But eeeeyowchie when she did that bone just below the eye and around the cheeks and ear area.

All in all it wasn't too bad and only took about 30 minutes. I'll go back again in 2 weeks or so.

She sure went through a lot of thread on my face. LOL.

This video was the worst part of it. I wasn't a crybaby like this through most of it.

Yes I already know I have a huge beak. And my mascara was smeared due to the involuntary tears from the stinging of the procedure. I cleaned it up before I left Keiko. LOL

Recorded on October 25, 2009 using a Flip Video camcorder.

  • Blushzilla, it grows back about the same as when you get waxed. I've actually gone back to waxing. Its closer to where I live.

  • @hulabird

did it give you pimples ?

  • @AllGirlsWannaHaveFun Not really. I might have gotten a couple of bumps but nothing much.

  • does the chin hurt? (if you had that done)

  • @liltinysarah No, I think the chin was the only part that didn't hurt.

  • o m f g ... I just got my entire face threaded today, and what an experience... When its being done, you could literally hear the hairs being pulled from the roots... And the pain... oh... The eyebrows, and chin arent so bad, but the cheeks and sideburns are ridiculous... The most painful place of all is around the mouth. That area is so sensitive and thin, that every minute or so, i made the poor woman stop. I was also tearing, and most of my makeup came off with the hair. I love the results

  • @AyreeArado I totally agree about the cheeks and sideburns. I just had to go back to waxing. I hate both but I think the waxing is a little less painful.

  • i did this half a year ago ! and i wouldn't do it again! it hurt toooo much ! i would recommend to learn how to thread and then to do it by yourself! u can stop when the pain gets worse !!!!

  • I've had eyebrow, chin and side burns threaded by REAL professionals for years and have NEVER winced or been in pain. If you experience this you need to keep it moving because that person doesn't know what the hell they're doing, This vid was too painful to keep watching my GOD!
