@eleljep both should be one or the other. for now i'd use the numbers on the doors. it seems to run well.

In addition, one of my videos is of a Schindler hydraulic elevator that has "G, 2, 3, and M" for the buttons, but displays 1-4 on the indicator, which too is confusing.

Thanks for saying about the mistake, but maybe someone thought 1-6 would be better. However, it gets very confusing.

The problem I came across was the rather dim floor indicator, but also the button panel was marked G-5, while the indicator display was 1-6.

Yes is right. The floor indicated use to display G-5 but no telling what happened. This will confuse some people.
