This video is LONG. Don't feel compelled to watch all of it. I have been through it today and feel like a "run over shoe". To those of you who recently complemented me on how great I am looking these days, well....this is how I look when I have been" rode hard and put up wet".
The first "new adoption" in 14 years has arrived! A cold, windy day at the airport, delays in Dallas, panic stricken, allergy attacked Dad....I feel beat up! After puppy sitting my neighbors fabu weenie dog/ dachshund a little in the last couple of years I decided I would like to have a small dog too. I wound up with two, because I couldn't make up my mind, and honestly I could have easily added a German Shepherd, Collie, Japanese Chin, Sheltie and on and on to the family. I love them ALL. Every size, disposition, breed...I love them all. I went to the Animal Shelter and fell in love with a Heeler. All things considered I didn't feel I could do justice to her exercise needs. I fell in love with this guy ONLINE I meant to say 5 or 6 months ,not weeks, old. I have never had a dog "take to me" quite this fast. Asleep on my leg as I type this, I can't believe how precious this little creature is. I know everyone thinks this, but I really can pick perfect dogs! Maybe they all are, or maybe I am in for some surprises but "so far so good".

  • I am loving the additions to your family. Sweet. Sweet. Sweet.

  • @hippadippa He has my heart, hook, line and sinker. I wound up naming him Levi Dane. He is as common as an old shoe...an old run over shoe. (no designer dog...all Ally rat) LOL Such a stud muffin and a show off. No yapper...thinks he is a great dane, hence the name.

  • He's adorable! Looks mostly Scottie, go with something Scottish? MacDougal? Hamish? OH, I like Gordon! Very Scottish! (I have 4 westies)

  • I adore Westies!!!! They are really special!!!...but FOUR???? I have been wondering if I am going to be able to manage 3!

  • Aw ((Michael)) congrats on your new puppy boy, he's absolutely adorable. I'm hoping he takes to the name "Elmer" cause it's cute as hell & so appropo. You're a sweetheart so how can you blame him for wanting to be as close as possible hee hee Miss Lacey will always be Numero Uno but it will be so sweet to watch her grow to love him too. ;) Get some good rest and please keep us posted about the arrival of the next "love bug" ok? OK! xoxo++

  • Thank you Shelly!

    I sure will!

I have been very careful to make sure Miss Lacy doesn't feel like she is being tossed aside for the newer model. She is so perfect...always has been. I took them both on the walk today. ( He is not leash trained (not that he would leave anyway) and doesn't care for it too much, but has to learn. I think it helped for him to see how Lacy just struts along.

It takes energy for two! Can you imagine three? I am certifiable at this point!

    Grins~

  • It can be..... challenging. lol! But so worth it. 3 was my max. until we got Brice - my dad lives with me and helps out. Otherwise I don't think I could handle them all.

  • How adorable! You should name him Oliver.

  • Michael...lol, lol, lol, .......I walk two everyday, just me walking without dogs is a feat of nature, lol, but in all defense of them, if I did'nt walk so much with them, I would'nt be walking as well as I do......their sometimes a gift in disquise, xxsandyxx

  • Thank you! I "babysit" my neighbors little one all the time. They are one of the the cutest breed. So smart, large and in charge (to be such small scampers)

  • You are hysterical! HAHAHA Although I was thinking about the separation anxiety today, and I know THAT is no laughing matter. This dog will leave a treat on the floor to come with me if I walk away. he is just ON ME!~ Never having had that challenge from man or beast I am not sure if I am flattered, shocked OR have the SA on its way! I love the name Parker..or actually any last name used as a first name KWIM?
