You Are The One! -Christian Music

"You are the one who sent your only Son
Who gave Himself for us
that we might be forgiven..."

If we could only grasp how much Jesus loves us! The happiest day of my life is when I found Him. Nothing had changed around me... I had the same job, the same rusted out car, the same clothes... but everything had changed! The sky looked bluer, the birds sounded sweeter, everything looked different to me. I saw the world through a whole new set of eyes. I was forgiven of my sins, loved and accepted by God, in touch with my Creator... I had been made a brand new creation in Christ. Everything on the outside may have stayed the same, but oh, what a glorious thing was happening on the inside!

One of the prayers I prayed daily during this time was from Ephesians...

"I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and his incomparably great power for us who believe..." (Ephesians 1:18-19)

I just wanted to grasp all that Jesus was, and all that He had done, and have fresh eyes to see all the love He had for me. I can't fully express what it was like to have all my sins forgiven, but I can tell you this... it was the best feeling in all the world to know that God loved me! I prayed daily that Jesus would open up my eyes to the glory of it all... and He did! "You are the One" is a glimpse into my first days of knowing the Lord. I was ecstatic with joy, and I just wanted more of Jesus!
