The 12-1 Allen Eagles faced the 13-0 Euless Trinity Trojans in the Quarterfinal Round of the 2008 5A Texas HS Playoffs. Trinity came into the game while being ranked Number 1 in the Nation all season long, and as the defending State Champions. Allen's only loss of the season was to the Trojans in week 4 earlier in the season, 24-14. However, the Eagle's pure dominance in every aspect of the game proved that they deserved the 2008 5A Div. 1 State Championship, that they earned two weeks later.

@EmetBandaMusic3 Aye. I played for Abilene Cooper last year. Good game. And y'all shoulda beaten Abilene High like we did. They were over rated. But I commented because I haven't read anything about that running back that y'all had last year. That guy tourched us. I swore he was a junior.
