One year and 8 months after the uprise, Lhasa is still under control of the chinese army.
Every day the soldiers patrol the streets around the Jokhang temple.

  • you do realize you're playing a han chinese song..?

  • @KirbyZhang The song is a very popular tibetan song "Drolma", but in this video it is sung in chinese language.

  • The city that is sung in the song is not Lhasa but another city in Tibet. I really doubt if the video maker understands any Chinese so he makes such a stupid mistake. Besides, the uniform dressed by the soldiers is not Chinese soldiers uniform either...

  • dear niuniu2250,

the uniforms ARE uniforms of the Chinese army. Probably you have not visited Tibet recently.

Concerning the song, nobody is saying that it speaks about Lhasa...

  • Silvia direi molto intertessante. Sarebbe bello averti tra noi di Viaggi Avventure a Vicenza per una serata.

  • @DelfinoSartori

    dove ti posso contattare ?

  • "The Chinese government has not only destroyed thousands of centuries-old Buddhist monasteries and interfered in their practices; it is now causing rampant destruction to Tibet's fragile eco-system thereby endangering the very setup of the Tibetan people's traditional and cultural way of life. Thousands of Tibetan nomadic tribes are already being forced to resettle into permanent houses to make way for China's ambitions and self-fulfilling interests. "

    Zhu Rui (a Chinese)

  • @niuniu2250 are you trying to say that the CCP is allowing an army of thousands of non-chinses soldiers, with red CCP shoulder patches, to swarm Lhasa?!?!? Come on! Work a little harder for those 50 cents dude! The uniforms I saw earlier had combat camouflage dessin, the helmets were a different model with yellow striping and face masks. So very little has changed. Chinese soldiers are suppressing Tibet, that's what matters.

  • Very nice video. It is a year ago, but shows the true situation in Tibet. It hasn`t changed at all. I was there 1 week ago.

How do you managed to take photos of the chinese as it is now strictly forbiden and any pictures are being confiscated ?

  • @PrometheanRunGood Dude, dude hold your horses... I'm not a salon warrior. I took quite a risk secretly filming there. I wanted to tell the world what I've seen because I think it's wrong. Rude Han disneyfication of Tibet? Visible in my movie, at 0:57 and 1:30!

I feel sad that the only chance for Tibet is the CCP regime loosens up or runs into a Tiananmen-like uprising, but until an economic downturn in China, there is no reason for change.

  • @0001baz Yes China is the scum but China is the scum that is ass-fucking your precious Tibetan culture and identity. You can whinge and whine as a youtube warrior but Han migration, materialism and the teaching of Mandarin in schools will make Tibet a moot point.

Tibet will be a Buddhist Disney land for rude and inconsiderate Han tourists. How does that make you feel, you little angrytard.

  • @PrometheanRunGood Why should I care if the men with the big guns are called PLA or PAP or ABC or XYZ or Army or Police? No matter what, they are men with guns and they are oppressing the Tibetans, like I saw myself there.

Their equipment may be newer but it just gives them more power to abuse. With cameras every word a Tibetan says like talking about the 14th Dalai Lama in a positive way can showtrial him into jail. So who's scum then?

  • @silviavernetto Again NOT PLA but People's armed police.

  • @0001baz Yes that is what he is saying because those are people's armed police. PLA ground troops wear updated digital camo and kevlar helmets. The PLA's old gear from the 80's is handed down to the PAP.

They are called the people's armed police because regular policemen are not armed in China. Passing judgement without knowledge is just as bad as the ignorance that leads to the abuse of minorities in China. You're scum
