Wow....

The unedited (No special CGI effects added like the 2004 DVD and 1997 VHS re-releases) 1995 VHS rerelease of the original Star Wars trilogy, and it all comes in this nice little boxed set with a personal message from the creative mind of Geroge Lucas himself.

STAR WARS: A New Hope (1977)
STAR WARS: The Empire Strikes Back (1980)
STAR WARS: The Return Of The Jedi (1983)

  • I hated the changes to Return of the Jedi in 1997. By the time the DVD rolled out, I just tried to tolerate it.... No. Too hideous.

ANH Special Edition was really good, though.

  • @dtwhitney Don't worry though, there does exist the unaltered versions of the original films. And they are on DVD.

You just have to look in the right places to find them.

  • Regardless of whatever George does with the films (EXCLUDING THAT FUCKING HIDEOUS CARTOON MOVIE) at the end of the day, Star Wars is still star wars. I happen to know a friend of mine who's dad had these releases. Weren't they the ones that had an interview with george before the film?

  • @The6thSimpson

Yeah, this boxed set has a 3-part interview with George Lucas at the beginning of each film.

  • @DarthJedi34 no they're not. Fuck the speical and remastered editions. The original unaltered versions of the original trilogy are the best by far. Han shot first. Enough said

  • @joshguy64 I thought those on the dvd release weren't unaltered. I had found them via torrent and still thought some parts looked too good to be true. Maybe I was just over analyzing them.

  • @CHAOSin8bits No, I thought the lucky guy in this video should make a torrent. I have not found one created from vhs tapes such as these. I'm considering going onto ebay, so I can find myself copies of these movies. Considering all the changes Lucas is constantly making to these movies, there seems to be a real threat that original films will be lost in time. I think having some copies of them would be a wise choice; even if the copies are only digital recordings of vhs tapes.

  • @werdnaforevertube you made a torrent? was it converted from laserdisc or VHS? also, what size is it? can i have a link?

  • Like I said, make a torrent! Screw the shitty special editions!

  • Convert them to digital! By that, I mean just record the movies on to your computer directly from the tapes. There are ways of doing this. Then, just watch them on your computer, without risking these amazing tapes. You could easily fit all three files onto a DVD- you could make several data backups like that to ensure their survival. While you're at it, upload them to a torrent. Screw Lucas- he doesn't give a shit about making money from these original movies. Share these with the world!

  • Almost every used video store I walk into has these copies.

  • WOW! You`re really lucky ^^ Beautyful Box!!!

  • Bought this for $3 at my local shop. Mines cover slides off. It even came with the little order catalog

  • me to im going back to find the 2004 set before all the bull shit got edited in you know leave the original alone dont add stuff to what made him famous and ruein it

  • i like the new type classics never die
