Sports is a culture in Haryana... there are many villages in the state where every family has at least 1 wrestler. When a sportsman wins on national or international level ppl of the village and surrounding villages welcome the winner in a huge procession and they celebrate, they dance, they sing, they give blessing ...garlands of cash and they present Ghee to the winner. The Panchayat of the village felicitates the winner by organising a grand function and the same tradition was followed by the STATE GOVT. for the winners of CWG-2010 from Haryana. This video by HARVINDER MALIK dipicts this rich culture in its entirety. This song "JI SA AAGYA" is dedicated to Haryana's winners of Common Wealth Games 2010.
