How did you take off the central bit in order to fit the new bulbs?!? I really want to do this, but not sure how much dashboard you will eventually have to remove from the car.

Take off the fans speed knob and there is a screw under it. Take out the screw and you have to unclip all the clips and the whole lot comes out, radio included. Easy enough just some clips are a bit hard to unclip. Once inside the bulbs are on a black bar at the bottom.
