Demi's Pastries; Jemi Movie [1]

Jemi Movie.

I decided to do a movie whilst waiting for contestants' entries in my contest. (:

It was another day at the Cafe Demi's family owned. Customers rushed in and ordered quite a lot, leaving the whole family and crew as busy as ever. Demi, the waitress, was enjoying her work, and even more that now, people knew more about the cafe and would come back more often.


She'd love to give the customers' food and see their smiling faces. Though it was summer, she did not think of anything more fun than being in a cafe full of happy customers. That is, until that day. . .

DEMI'S P.O.V


The cafe was full of customers today. Seeing them eating in such a happy mood made me feel so hyper. I was rushing in and out of the kitchen, getting food, and giving out orders. The atmosphere in the cafe was a happy and serene one. Peaceful music, laughter, and the smell of coffee and treats.


Suddenly, the door swung open and everybody's attention transferred to the group of men in black standing in front of the now broken door.


" Umm . . . do you need anything, sirs?" I asked whilst trying not to get angry. My smile was stiff, and I could feel my blood rushing.

" Yes," The one in front of all of them said. He must be the leader. He then came towards us, tracing the cafe's dark marble counters and smelling the pastries and the cakes. " I'm gonna buy this cafe."


Surprised and angry by the rude entrance, I glared at him and began making a burning contact. " You CAN'T buy this Cafe. It's NOT for sale." I crossed my arms and began being a bitch. " Please leave ."

The guy smirked at me and then slowly faced the other customers, " People of this Cafe," He began walking around our small Cafe , tracing the wall and looking at the decorations. He then faced me, and had an evil grin on his face. "Was that a way to treat a customer?" His finger was pointing right at me, and being the nervous girl I am, I was already feeling nervous and guilty.

" Stop it right there, mister." My mom had put her arm around my waist and she had already put her apron on her shoulders. " Please don't be rude. As what my daughter has have said, this Cafe is NOT for sale. And please, if you intend of ruining the mood and going out telling our customers that we don't treat you the same way we treat them, please compare them as to who you are."

" I have the right to buy this Cafe," He began talking again. But this time, his eyes somewhat changed, from having a conceited feel, into those spine-tingling glares.

" But you look as though you're at my age!" I spoke back at him, not being able to retain my anger towards him.

" How about we speak at your office? if that is alright." He smirked once more, removing his black shades and putting it in his pocket.


He had soft brown eyes, it was like a coffee's color; a light brown mixed with a dark shade. They were looking beautiful, beautiful enough to cover his awful attitude.


My Mom had nodded her head, and they both went at the back of the Cafe, which our office was located on.

I replaced my mom at the kitchen and began making pastries. My head was still boiling from the rudeness, but when I am faced in front of sugar and dough and other sweet things, I forget my worries and start drifting to my own world. Sweet candy, Sugary treats, decorative cakes, and of course, Colorful Pastries.
