the movie was ok..fun to watch..but the music was great

I liked it so much I rushed home from the movie and whistled it into my tape recorder!

I put the soundtracks for "The Long ships, The Vikings, & The 13th Warrior" on the same CDR. Too bad the music for "The Norseman" sucked, or it would have been added.

Plastic crew figures though during the malestrom shows just how cheap these types of films are.

This thrilling -- and totally idiomatic -- score was composed by Dusan Radic (1929 - 2010), born in the former Yugoslavia. He was active as a film composer mainly in the 1960s, when he scored several Serbian-language films, and later international productions The Long Ships and Genghis Khan.
The film was directed by legendary Oscar-winning British cinematographer and filmmaker Jack Cardiff, OBE, BSC (1914 – 2009), considered the greatest color cameraman who ever lived.

From the very first time I saw this movie...I was thrilled just to listen to the theme. The story was absolutely "original" and left me w/an impression since it first came out! I have wonderful memories of this because I took my two cousins to see this movie (unfortunately they are in Heaven). I downloaded this theme on my facebook and email addresses. Later into my MP3 player. I LOVE this THEME! which has been in my heart all these years. Thanks alot for putting on youtube.
