Edam Cheesemarket with Sanyo Xacti HD1000

The Edammer or Edam Cheesemarkt is a great tourist attraction.

July 9, 2008 we went to the famous Wednesdaymorning Edam Cheese Market Show in Edam near Amsterdam. Just for educational purposes got the Sanyo Xacti HD1000 (now $450) with me to show its possible to make a low cost commercial looking clip with this little pocket baby in ten minutes. Don't think I'm earning money with clips like this now (never done), but beware soon smaller cams (photo or/and video-camera's) will come!

This is a 1 take scene from the band playing: ("Rats Kuch und Bohnen") filmed out of my hand (no steadicam, no tripod, no filters, no extra wide angle, no extra microphones). Put the SanDisk 8GB ExtremeIII SDHC card in the USB slot from my VAIO Laptop, spent 1 hour editing with 12 inserts (Vegas8 Pro) and 10 minutes to render and load onto Vimeo. The Xacti HD1000 and even better the HD1010 are great little camera's also as second unit for serious videographers!

Jan, I'm not Dutch, but I do love cheese, and guess what? I have the same Sanyo Xacti HD 1000 that I use to shoot video testimonials to show online.
