  • Will the stock ESC handle a brushless motor? I know it should handle a lipo battery.

BTW just got a GPV-1 yesterday - sale at my LHS £99 just HAD to buy it! :)

  • Bargain! the kit ESC is not that good, sling it away and fit something with better brakes, whether brushed or brushless.

  • Des, Just got my second GPV-1 but we have snow right now in NY state. I plan to run it at the local track once they finish the renovations. New owners. I'll post videos once we get them taken.

  • Cool, yeah pretty wet and cold here too, looking forward to the new BRCA Bike season now we have 1/5th and 1/8th bikes competing.

  • I keep debating it,maybe I should just buy one.........

  • Have you got any 1/10th tarmac circuits near you, if so go along and test it properly, works best on smooth tarmac, It's a race bike after all!

  • Are GPV-1 still aloud on the track?

  • Cheers - any recommendations? Any websites for hints and tips on RC biking? OK I'm not looking to race at the moment - just a fun RC toy to whizz around a car park, AND I need to get used to it, but I'd like to get to grips with the setup etc. same as what I do with my RC helicopter.

  • Yeah 1/5th handle bumps better than 1/8th which need a real smooth circuit or clean carpark to work well.

  • 7,2V?

Im thinking about buying a bike, and i got recommended 1/5 scale since they are not so sensitive about bumps. agreed?

get a small steel arc on the swing arm( wheelie bar) and you can wheelie all day without no worries about flipping it around.
