2008 Blue Jays Opener: Fans Get on Manny Ramirez

April 4, 2008 at the Blue Jays home opener against the Red Sox. We were seated in a section almost entirely made up of drunken Rogers employees, most of whom decided to rag on Manny Ramirez as much as possible.

The Monster Wall compensates for the lack of distance in LF, as it stops a lot of balls from going out. So if you think about it, when a home run is hit over the wall then it's equivalent to at least 330+ which is normal. And as for the RF distance, that just makes the park unique. Rogers Centre is a nice stadium too; I've actually played there on several occasions with my team (I live in Toronto) so I have no scruples about it. But it's quite useless when you average 20,000 fans a night.

Haha that's the worst come back ever. As a Sox fan I believe in no such curse so say what you will. As a Jays fan, you pathetic losers haven't made the playoffs in over 14 YEARS let alone a World Series, so what do you attribute that to? Sucking balls I say. Jays fans can say nothing about Boston until they've accomplished something. P.S. Greg Zaun is hands down the worst MLB catcher right now. And he took steroids yet he barely bats over a .250 clip... sad, sad, sad.
