Actually, there's things in Blazblue called tech traps and there are times when it's better to take a hit than tech right away. Resets being one reason, free 720 being another.

It doesn´t matter if its a gray combo. It will do the same damage and if they tech the would be in danger of damage reset and further getting your ass kicked more. Japanese people see video games in a different way.

i don't get why this rachel keeps using her gii cannon after the umbrella stun in the corner... it doesn't link, and she lost several rounds because she gave away her corner advantage by failing to link the stun into her frog repeatedly

Actually if they don't tech, it will link, and if they do tech, they will be locked down for more mixups and more potential damage though I think there are better setups to achieve the same thing.

well it'll be a grayed out combo... there are 2 ways for rachel to have a non-grayed link in the corner to connect her frog with the stun... one is the 3C sweep and the other is 2B - standing B/A... use of each depends on the hit box of characters i think, but i know for a fact you can perfectly link the frog out of an umbrella stun without even giving the opponent the option to tech

I know it will be a grayed out combo...but it doesn't matter. If the opponent techs, they will be forced to be locked down for further mixup and if they do not tech, then it's a gray combo.
I'm sure he had everything planned out, considering it's well, the great N-Otoko.
