Putucusi Trail

Our lonley planet guide book mentioned an 'easy walk with ladders' that peaked my interest. So off we went, up the Putucusi trail. We followed the train tracks out of Aguas Calientes and then went up a few steps just like the guide book said. An hour and half later of basically sprinting steps so we'd make it to the top and back down before dark...we reached the summit and got an awesome view of Machu Picchu. However, the trail was tough. The easiest parts were the ladders...and that's what this is going to show you!
