Fire!!! This song was played in the funeral of a very dear friend of mine, Frank Gormlie from Scotland, in 2010. He worked with this guy in the 70´s and he chose the song himself for his funeral! Best funeral I´ve ever been!

Can't thank you enough for this.

I love his voice and the organ! I used to play his "Fire" rendition out my window at the boarding school in the middle of the Bible belt, in Tennessee, in 1968/69 ! It felt so good to get up to that song!!!! I was pretty angry : )

Oh My God!!! How fabulous is this!!! He and Screamin' Jay Hawkins were ♪♪♫ fodder for those wanting their minds blown!!! Thanks for sharing!!!

@jhiles1001 absolutely correct... the organ work is phenomenal and Arthur Brown is simply jaw dropping with this rendition. The orignal by Screaming Jay Hawkins is good, but a little too affected, IMHO. Arthur's version is just straight out powerful and hits at the very chord of the message in the song. I also like some of the other renditions e.g. CCR (Fogerty), Nina Simone. et. al. But Athurs voice just has that pathos and edge to it; he's not just singing a song... he means it!
