  • "I couldn't live in less than 500 to 700 sq feet"

What? I have a place to myself, about 425 sq feet for about $1350, in my favorite part of DC. It might seem like a lot of money for the space, but I'm more than comfortable in it. It actually feels spacious, with just me living here. It's important that we learn as a society how to live in smaller spaces--- our population is growing and what precious little land is left shouldn't be plowed over to build more over-sized homes for selfish people.

  • @guymartini - You misinterpreted my tone. I didn't mean in a literal sense. I mean from a desire-standpoint. Yes, physically, I could live in a closet if needed -- but preferably, I'd want at least 800 square feet. I own furniture. I have a wife, a cat... lots of computer and video equipment. I need a place to film, to sleep, to eat, to watch TV.

  • At the moment I live in a 100 square foot apartment in the meat-packing district and I pay $950 a month. That's a really affordable price for my area so what he's doing doesn't seem that crazy to me. Its really a way of life that u get used to. U r paying for the area and lifestyle that comes along with the neighborhood u live in so it's all about sacrifice... And who spends that much time at home anyway!?

  • @PurpleunicornPrncess - 100 square feet is not an apartment...

I spend 23 hours a day at home, myself.

  • Holy fucking shit. I live in a 5 bedroom house on an acre lot for less than that.

  • @supergsx - Then I can assume you don't live in a populated area of any kind.

  • I have a giant studio, nice kitchen, own driveway, own garage, small backyard.... 600.00 a mo

    Santa Maria CA baby!!

  • I'd like to try it out but after 3 days I'll go crazy

  • i saw another apartment. it wasn't really small but it had all sorts of things that slide and fold out; a sliding door to divide the one room apt., a fold out desk that also acted at a privacy window screen when it isn't folded out. and a folding bed. right in the center of the room where all this is was a large kinda block thing. it really escapes description

  • @PurpleunicornPrncess - You'd have to be sick in the head to pay $950 a month for that garbage. I spend almost all my time at home, I may go outside once or twice every two weeks so I could never live a a crap space like that.

  • I'd rather have my own bathroom.

  • I live ein Portugal, in a smaller place. I have wirte now my bad a TV and a professional video studio inside, and a place to put all my video-audio equipment. I have a Cat i pic up from the street, and my cat is pregnet, and that is a little bit disturbing because of spacee... Now iam trying to do another thing in that space, beacause i need to work whit a very big screen, and another things... So this vídeo is very nice, but its funny, this boy have a lot of a space and he lives alone

  • I think it'd be cool to live in a small apartment for maybe a week, just to see what it's like. Then after that I'd probably start feeling claustrophobic all the time and want to leave.

  • This could be a solution if major cities become overly populated (I say majoy cities, because most of the world's over population is between Africa and Asia).
