  • A kayak full of water upstream of you is like an elephant standing on your chest.

I got squeezed between my boat and an underwater log and I couldn't breathe. Very bad place to be. Stay upstream of the boat. Always.

  • A larger canoe or open kayak filled with water - even semi full - could be very heavy, even up to a ton (2000 lbs) or more. A gallon of fresh water weighs about 8.5 lbs (salt water even heavier) , divided into 2000 lbs is about 235 gallons. Take a look at a 250 gallon fish tank in your local pet store - a 17ft canoe is ALOT bigger!

  • Great vid!

    - I don't wanna end up as a *rock sandwich*

  • he said a boat full of water could weigh a ton or more....i don't think a kayak full of water weighs 2000 pounds...

  • thx .. hehe
