The reason a leg press has two different angles(the curve) is to work different parts of the leg.
If he puts his feet on the top part it works his hamstrings and glutes more. If he puts feet on the bottom. It works quads and calves more. Same with any body else. Different angles on a leg press work the muscles with slightly different intensities. If you go to a gym and try it out. You'll feel it.

I've noticed that at the top of the foot plate that there it curves a bit, why is that? Can someone let me know?
