the people developing Dubai are very ambitious and forward-thinking, more than I can say for most of the other leaders in this part of the world. It's too bad the climate in Dubai sucks so much. 120 degree summers aren't fun. Maybe their next project should be a gigantic shade that blocks out the sun over the entire city?

@bushyblowfish I've lived in Dubai for a good part of my life and have visited it multiple times including in the last year. The fact of the matter is 80% of Dubai is temporary workers and none of them have left. Why? Because thei job is still there. The recession did affect Dubai but it did not collapse.
