  • even if you don't like this beer, (because everyone has there own taste) its one of the easiest drinking beers in the world, your reaction is way over the top. your wife was much closer than you were. clove is right on... "you don't know how anyone would buy this" there the oldest brewery in the world, they must be doing something right. so much for honest reaction...

  • @jjrudy41

Wonder why it's not on tap or sold in cases or even popular or heard of after all this time. I wonder why it's in the back corner of the store collecting dust sold in single bottles.

I guess it's maybe a hidden gem or something that people have been missing all these years.

  • Guessing you didn't like it, eh? :)

Appreciate the honest response (and MAN, that was one helluva honest response).

I'm not a big German wheat person either...just too many weird flavors. Yet, I love Belgians, so go figure.

Oh, and no offense, but your wife's 3 second review provided me with as much feedback as your 7 minute talk--but you had already convinced me to stay away from it anyway. Keep them coming.

  • @jturie Hey!

After researching it seems that this beer is unlike the rest in its category. Supposedly the Belgians are more sweet and drinkable. This beer in specific is supposedly in a league of it's own. However, this is a beer that if you don't like, you get labeled as not being a beer connoisseur. (similar to rating a Pixar movie bad if you review films.. you aren't 'allowed' to).

If I owned a restaurant I would never serve this in fear of too many sending it back.

  • A lot of people do not like Bavarian wheats and I certainly wouldn't say it's like a Wit. It certainly doesn't help being an import, I can never find fresh imported beer.

  • @yartp Yeah I couldn't find any Wit so just got this. There is a 6 pack of Wit from Belgium for $14. I'll get it soon enough and review it. I think that's the actual beer Blue Moon is based off.

  • out of 1,406 reviews the Weihenstephaner Hefeweissbier that you "reviewed" has a rating of A+ on beer advocate com you are the one person that dosent like it you just dont know what real craft beer taste like cause you are now reviewing a cheap ass lager claiming it got all these reviews, it might have got all those back in the 80-90s when no one knew what craft beers were so just take some advice and stop reviewing beers because you are a disgrace to the beer culture

  • You are a moron.

  • imagine that, a jew hates German beer .

  • The consensus says you need to get a fresher bottle of beer. Perhaps you got a bad bottle?

  • @jjrudy41 I agree, little bit of an over reaction. I mean, come on. I know taste is a subjective matter, but that's a very light beer in regards to flavors. He must be a hop head. This isn't a hoppy beer at all.

  • I just don't get you. Why would you review a beer that you don't do the remotest, most minimal amount of research on at all? You could have at least practiced a pour before recording your abominable pour. You might be unbiased, but you're incredibly foolish and boring.

  • @TakeSomeAdvice HAHA, my question, then, is: What Pixar movie has any credible reviewer ever given bad reviews? The integrity is strong with Pixar, and unspoiled like so many other production companies. Similarly, this beer is a pure example of a beloved product by people who know and understand good beer and food. I prefer certain styles of beer, but know what a good beer is--

  • @TakeSomeAdvice because America is 1: still recovering from being brainwashed by prohibition. 2: still producing more macro lagers and continually marketing (brainwashing) the general public that their tasteless, odorless, over-stocked beer is "real" beer. 3: Too proud to carry genuine foreign product, like this classic, centuries-old and centuries-loved beer.

You've got to be the biggest little bitch I've ever seen-- so glad I'll never meet you! Cheers

  • OK, your not a Hefe-Weisse fan but this reaction is a little bit over the top :S

    Please, quit your whining dude!

  • Holy crap. What the hell is with that artificial clap track and gay hip-hop?

Too bad you didn't like this. Perhaps you'd enjoy a nice glass of Corona or Bud Light? I've seen many on this site who like Colt 45. No?

  • I must admit- the first time I was introduced to Wiezenbier (in Germany!) I didn't get it either. The taste is different... after a few more I was hooked and that was 25 years ago!
