The tubes were wiped clean with a hard bristles fiber brush & a wet cloth and the remaining non-conductive coat was pretty hard to come off. Probably need to sand the pipes to get the remaining coat off.

had to scrape pretty hard to get through to the SS.

There seems to be some brownish discoloration of the coat on a few tubes and only towards one side along the length on the inner tube.....need to see why this happened and wether it improves or reduces the generation.
