    I think Louis Clark was also involved in the orchestral arrangements, so the Still Life team had its 'genesis' here.

    Oh, thanks for reminding me that Roy Wood had made the arrangements on the Wonderland album. I wasn't entirely sure.

    I think there is another video around with better quality audio. Anyway, you are right, Annie's version is the best and rings spine-chillingly true with the soul. Beautiful arrangements by Roy Wood too...sparse and funereal.

  • annies brother michael who has sadly passed away now used to always play this when i visited him and his wife eileen. he was one of my best friends and is sadly missed. he was a great singer like annie with a large octave voice. he was managed by brian epstein and toured with the beatles. he got annie interested in singing. lovely song, great posting. ty
