I would like to think Barry Saunders and the boys comprised and dedicated this piece to the great NZ actor, Bruno Lawrence (12 February 1941 -- 10 June 1995)
But maybe some other soul it might have been; long lost, longed for or otherwise?

Just for the record . . . this track is NOT dedicated to Bruno Lawrence but to Bruno BERINS - also a drummer, who died in a car accident in the alate 1980's . . .

@dixjp51 Well, fuck. You may be right for all I can now find out. Though, when the song hit the airwaves, Bruno Lawrence's popping over played big in the local media. And, with the media being what it is, the two ra de da interests of the day may very well have merged erroneously to become, years later, some overblown and monsterous topic of livid debate upon a certain Youtube channel. I'm sure you're correct in Berin's. JonathanG meekly says Lawrence, in any case, deserves further horrah.

This is awesome mate! Haven't heard this particular Warratahs track in donkey's, and takes me back to Aug '93 when TVNZ chased an excursion train we ran up to Arthurs Pass, (me on board) we had a mighty Ka class steam loco on front (NZ's biggest steamer ever built) and they took a rake of evocative vids including from a chopper as we rolled along.Then they put it on the news to this Warratahs track, was really stirring. Wonder if Ka class loco whistles suck or blow?

Anybuggers, seems ole Tis Him has had some troubles of late; knocking in his big end 'n all sorts - obviously hasn't been keeping up with regular servicing on the V-Twin...tsk. GLADIS!!

@Pullisto Haaaa 'Knocking the big end'... ha, ONYA , yes, Nugent has her ways of finding out about sources of gossip whether true or not, lets just hope if so that Hisselthwaite has herself a small a pose set up on Auckland or Campbell Islands, probably two of the few places on this big rock that Nugent wouldn't think to check up on. Or that wee island Mr. T. Heke and feathered friend existed upon...
