| It was announced today that Morning Musume members Kamei Eri, Junjun and Linlin will all graduate at the end of the groups concert tour on October 24th.

As the group will be down to just 5 members for the first time since it formed, new auditions will be held to find a 9th generation. These will be the first public auditions since 2006.

Kamei is leaving the Hello! Project to take the time to treat her atopic dermatitis, a chronic form of eczema that causes her irritation and slight skin colour changes.

Junjun and Linlin are graduating from the group, and will pursue music/entertainment careers in China. It is possible that they will remain a part of the Hello! Project, under the Taiwan arm of the company. |

Linlin and Junjun seem to be trying to get japanese citizenship (they just passed thier japanese proficency tests!) so maybe they'll rejoin H!P or UF?

MM has been "slowly dying" since Fukuda Asuka graduated in 1999. This is really nothing new, new talent will come and the group will become less popular, that's been the overall theme of the group.

I've always loved Kamei, but I've REALLY been wanting some new people to join the group, hopefully the 9th gen will be interesting. Her form of eczema really isn't a serious form of it, but it's gonna take some time for her to get the proper treatment. Best wishes to her, get well soon!
