  • yeah...our cutoff was -30 for a 207 and -40 for a 208, 406, and 1900. op spec's usually will trump a poh if approved

  • true enough, I life in Calgary so the coldest we get is about -40, sometime -50 if it's a really hard winter usually -30 on average

  • Eh.... we have preheaters and intake blankets/restrictors that help with that.

  • then again, you are a professional pilot and i am just a student.

  • that's funny because most small aircraft can't operate in that kind of weather. anything below -25 is too severe. before you get all defensive I read this in the C172N P.O.H. So don't ask me ask Cessna

  • I wish sim graphics were that good...

  • Come back when its -40 and blowing 30 knots across the runway, with packed snow and ice.

  • Ah, yes. How that name conjures up the very best of what Alaska has to offer; beauty, romance, nature, and freedom. Could anything say it better than DEADHORSE? 8-P

  • LOL good one

  • Press 'Q' to turn sound on. :P
