Relica ONline the book of zen, is a creation by Nathan Hemstock a solo indie developer from the UK.

I have worked on this game for roughly 4 years, The game in my eyes still needs work to reach my own expectations. I dont expect to be the next Andrew Gower, but it would be nice to get noticed for my time and efforts.

Dont foregt to watch the other videos.

Best Regards

Nathan Hemstock

  • Thx for a update and showing it in a video man I want to make something like this but i`m still stuck at gamemaker but gotta start somewhere right

  • @TheCrazyTV62 Yup you have to start someplace and at the end of the day its a difficult hobby at first. But once you learn and speak to people you will learn quickly. The amount that i have learnt since 2006 is amazing.

I will give you tips tho, this is not geeky what i'm saying but grab yourself some books. This is what i did i sat n read numerous books and started coding with dark basic classic then moving to pro and then other lanuages.

Its not easy work but so worth it :)

  • @sicknwrong thx for the tips I`m only 15 now and I have been working with many different programs

from gamemaker to UDK must say for my as a beginner gamemaker is the best way to learn the basic stuff and the logic behind games. also Eclipse is a great engine for developing 2d mmorpg`s

thx again for the tips and keep going of course cant wait to check it out

  • @TheCrazyTV62 kool 15! nice age to start, we couldnt afford a computer or i never use done until i was 16. You are the same age as my little brother which is awsome.

he playe dthe game for 5 hours solid.... and its aimed at your age range and above (all ages really) So i think you might like this.

just think of Relica as the old runescape classic, i think its on the same friend classic was back in 1999. So i'm playing in the field with big companies as a lone soldier! i will hire you sum day

  • @sicknwrong Retro games are cool still play sometimes on my sega master system .

and played rs also for 2 years was a great way to set my mind on other things in some harder times for my.

but you wanna hire my some day its would be a honor simple because If you can concentrate on a one game for 4 years then I know it would be a great company to work at.

still need 1 year to go and then I try to attend to a gamedesign school.

but here in holland gamedesing is still in his early shoes

  • @MikeNapz ha ha i know and sorry mate, just been working hard to finalise the game demo

  • Can't wait to play the Alpha

been following this since the start :D
