I don't think you should be boiling flax seed because it becomes toxic when heated.
I know because I eat it everyday on my Raw food diet. Place the flax seed in a gar and fill with water, place the lid on the gar and leave over night. you will find it's a better mixture after straining and separating the seeds from the oil. I don't mean to step on anyone's toes sorry if you feel I have. Take care.... Margaret

@NunaFeedTheDucks I appreciated this comment so did my own research and this is what I found:
"While flaxseed oil should not be heated because it can easily oxidize, it seems that heat doesn't have the same effect on whole flaxseeds." look up whfoods.org

Wait so, the 10 days that you show pics of your hair, you never added anything else (conditioner, leave-in) to it after you put the flax seed oil on your hair the first time?

@toysvoice buy a cheap pair of panty hose and open it over a large measuring cup or small container. pour in the mixture and using tongs squeeze out the gel.

umm so i made it and couldnt get the seeds to strain away. i had to add water n now its not gel..lol.. wa can i do next time?

You have to strain it right away, otherwise it will harden up!

How does this work for softening hair. what ever I use my hair eventually gets dry and crunchy by the end of the day. I need some thing to make it softer will this work?

You can apply a drop of oil, but the flaxseed it pretty moisturizing.
