After 30 years in a cell for the mentally ill, Ze do Caixao (a.k.a. Coffin Joe) is finally freed. Back on the streets, the sadistic gravedigger is set on fulfilling that for which he was imprisoned: find the woman who can give him the perfect child. During his wanderings through the city of Sao Paulo, he leaves behind a trail of horror as he faces unnatural laws and popular beliefs.
Just got through seeing the first two films, and I'm not 100% sure if I want to see this one. It looks good, but I also know that, with most horror films, anything beyond two is pushing it. I don't want this one to ruin the other two for me, ya know.

@snakevillefilms No, i said about sarcasm not as a disadvantage. He has really high sense of humour.Thank you for the information about the documentary.I see a lot of documentaries here in Documentary Film Festival of Thessaloniki. I think i watched some videos in YT but i will see more.

@LeonAmarantos it is perhaps just a bad performance, through the whole film i feel he was very over the top...however if you have seen his early work...the original coffin joe series or the films he made about drugs in Brazilian Favellas....it was all seriously controversial to the point where the guy struggled to make films because the censors kept removing half of the movie...there is a great documentary, you can even find the whole thing on youtube called "The Strange world of mojica marins"

@snakevillefilms His films i guess (from what i see) are a mixture of horror and sarcasm. I really laugh (for example) when i see the expression of the face of the monk who try to kill Coffin Joe (there is the scene in this video). He is like a jerk. Hahaha

@snakevillefilms He is legendary horror persona in Brazil.Cinema is totally magic art.You see a "beast from hell" on screening and you see the same "creature" to be an ordinary (but great) person when you see him in real world.

@LeonAmarantos yeah Mojica Marins (Coffin Joe) is well known to live his horror status, but is apparently a very nice guy, i find it great that he can keep his iconic image as a humerous psycho after 50 years and still keep it good

@snakevillefilms Yes, it was a surprise for me, a low budget horror movie with art value.I saw it 4 years ago in Thessaloniki International Film Festival here in Greece. Before the screening the director (the guy with black clothes and hat who played the protagonist role) came into the theater wearing exactly the same clothes and hat.He was a great guy (he threatened us before the screening, hahaha) !!!
