This song was taken from a piano piece I had written and I bulit the rest of the song around that. This is all done on the fly, written as it's being recorded. I left all the blemishes and warts, see it for what it is.

Picaso Is Dying/rjaggers/12/6/2010

piano beginning
As you lay there decomposing
your spirit drifts beyond the clouds
just your presence was imposing
your face is missing from the crowd
the sky is crying, Picassos dying
I bid you farewell now sweet Master
I leave your soul in Odens charge
I'm sure you'll love the ever after
you'll find a palette no matter where you are

  • @anden4fr hello my dear friend Jim. thank you so much, Reg

  • Reg you are the Picasso of music! ***** EXCELLENT!

  • @iaco4ever that is such a kind comment, I appreciate it very much. Reg

  • I like raw work, because it shows who you are. I enjoy this pleasant structure with different times. Cool, these “spoken breaks” (some in French:)... it reminds me “Picasso’s last words”, a wonderful McCartney’s song that you surely know dear bro!

Merry Christmas to you and Trish, take good care always.

and.. "Drink to me, drink to my health, You know I can't drink any more"

  • @Genyway Eric my brother, great to see you hear. The French you hear is actually an interview with Picasso I'd love to know what they're saying there. Always write outside the norm, it makes things easier. Merry Christmas to you also my brother, God Bless, Reg

    Merry Christmas!

    Much Love, Heidi

  • Wow what a compostion, great piece of piano music Reg! I love how it segued into a fabulous rock song. The lyrics once again,so interesting,so far away, lots of sadness. The life of many true great arttists is usually a sad one, lonely and suffering involved. I know you can attest to that. You make great art in your music my buddy Reg,like the great art of Picasso and Van Gogh. The guitar work was awesome!! I always get a thrill from your songs. I dig it! :))) You did this in 5 minutes? Incredible!

  • Reg I love this song it realy good the way you wait to bring the guitar in I didnt know you sent it to me until tonight it came to that email adress that I have forgot how to get into Duke

  • @rimind1 thank you very much, send me a message about filming your art work and we'll see what we can do. Sorry for my late response. Reg

  • @profwaldo Thank you Waldo, you are "seeing" this exactly as it was meant to be. As a whole and not in pieces. I try to tell stories in my songs. In this one I was showing the many sides of Picasso in music which isn't that easy to do. Thank you so much, Reg
