No offense here, but I am going to assume that you're not very tech savvy. Basically, it's much more likely that the virus you got is located in a file that is kept even after a system recovery or reformatting. Get Microsoft Security Essentials, do a full system scan, then send me a message.

I cannot browse on my laptop ( I research a lot of conspiracy type things on it, primarily Nibiru, ELEnin, ect) without crashing. After formatting my hard drive 3 times, whatever it is is still there. It will automatically open about twenty tabs in a new window that are just random gibberish web addresses that go to nowhere. Then my browser (Firefox, Chrome, ANY browser) crashes. It cant be a virus. Ive wiped my computer 3 times. I also cant update, and now, cant boot up. Gov hijacking? possible
