Sitting here beside me is the most innovative product the gun safe industry has ever seen. AMSEC's new BF Burglary Fire Gun Safe which comes with a impressive list of features that no other gun safe in the industry has. Starting here with the door, this door was designed with a 1/2 inch steel plate barrier and then it has a 1" concrete fire protection mixture which we call DriLight. Drilight is an advanced poured concrete installation material that provides a dry and seamless barrier to protect from burglary and fire.
Here we have a cutaway showing you the design of the door that I just explained. This is the 1/2 inch steel outer skin with a 1 inch seamless DriLight offering a fire and burglary protection barrier and then the 16 gauge inner skin behind the DriLight. Comparing a conventional gun safe door design to our BF design, the conventional gun safe design typically has a very lightweight steel outer barrier compared to our 1/2 inch solid steel plate. For the fire protection it will offer a gypsum board or also referred to as a drywall compared to our seamless poured DriLight material. With the drywall, often times when pieced together in the corner, you will get gaps in the corner of the safe giving a breakdown in it's fire protection that the DriLight does not do.
The body of the BF comes with 11 gauge outer steel and 2 inches of the DriLight material and a 16 gauge inner steel liner. The total steel thickness is just over 10 gauge with 2 inches of the DriLight Fire & Burglary protection.
In addition to the unique design of the door and the body, AMSEC has also added additional features to enhance the look of the safe on the exterior. We have a raised die cast logo. Most safes come with a decal. This safe has it raised actually off the front of the door and gives kind of a jewelers feel to the logo. In addition to our logo, we have also added our American Security eagle at the bottom of the door also raised in a steel die cast logo. We have also installed a S&G Combination Lock on this safe which has the spyproof and keylocking dial feature. It also comes standard with a 3 spoke brass decorative handle as the standard feature as well. The hardware shown here is in the brass finish, and is also available in the chrome finish as well. All of the BF safes come with the BF Burglary Fire trademark icon given you the assurance that you are purchasing a true BF safe from American Security.
Unique to the gun safe industry is this commercial grade exterior hinge. This hinge offers a hardened steel roll pin, oil impregnated bronze bushing, and a ball bearing suspension which is fully adjustable offering you a lifetime of worry free service.
The other advance of this exterior commercial grade hinge.is the ability for the safe door to be opened beyond the 90 degree that most gun safes are making a portion of your safe unusable. With this exterior hinge, you are able to open the door 180 degrees opening up the safe for full use.
In addition to the features that I presented, I would like to show you some additional features as you open the door. One of the most important features is the dual fire sealed door. Most gun safes come with one fire seal, the BF safe comes with 2. On the door itself right here is the Palusol Seal which expands to 8 times it's dimension when exposed to heat and then on the door jam itself is a silicone fire seal. With the combination of the dual fire seal and the uniquely designed DriLight material offer fire protection, both of those features combined give this safe a 90 minute fire rated label which is displayed on the door.
How does this safe compare to a Graffunder safe?
Ladysleepy7126 1 year ago
@Ladysleepy7126 Graffunder is a very good safe. It also costs more than the AMSEC. It is difficult to compare since both safes have strengths and weaknesses. AMSEC makes the only TL-30, Underwriters Lab Burglar Rated safe... so, if you want the very best, then look at the AMSEC RF6528
If you are looking for the best gun safe and the highest burglar rating to ward off theft, you should strongly consider the AMSEC RF6528.

Why are there no top and bottom bolts
kevtop351 2 years ago
When you got a 1/2" plate steel door, you tend to not worry about people bending it much.
I like more bolts as much as the next guy, my safe has 14, but if the door and frame are built right, those bolts become superfluous.
I don't own a Sturdy, but check out their pry video with only two bolts holding, its on youtube.

@l337pwnage I agree. More bolts does not alway mean better security. Door and frame strength is very important. AMSEC makes one of the best. AMSEC also makes the only Underwriters Lab TL-30 Burglar Rated gun safe, the Model RF6528. If you want the VERY BEST, take a look at the RF6528 gun safe.

@kevtop351 - Kevin..AMSEC now has top and bottom bolts. However, the 1/2" steel plate on the front is still very difficult if not impossible to pry with a pry bar or other type of hand tool. Now, with the top and bottom bolts PLUS the 1/2" A36 plate steel door, it will be even more difficult.
