Pedro Aspe, Co-Chairman of Evercore Partners, CEO of Protego Asesores, and former Secretary of Finance of Mexico, talks about the Mexican perspective on the US financial crisis—including problems with the liberalization of the mortgage market, over-leveraging of investment banks, and consequences for the future. Aspe spoke to MBA and undergraduate students at the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School, as part of the Wharton Leadership Lecture series, founded by Management Professor Michael Useem.
