"THE DARK MILK"

Beloved D.A. Candidate Harvey Milk proclaims his homosexuality during a press conference meant to reveal the identity of the Batman so as to quell an anarchal clown. Upon his arrest, Harvey relates with cellmate Joker Smith, the very man plaguing the city, after hearing of similar prejudices Joker suffered to progress in San Frangotham's criminal underbelly. Inspired by Joker's tale of perseverance, Harvey reinvigorates his campaign, despite the vocal disapproval of corrupt fellow candidate Cisco Maroni and Police Commissioner Gordon White. Meanwhile, Dan Wayne, (auditor by day, Batman by night) fears for the life of his childhood friend Rachel Dawesenberg, when she emphatically boards the Milk Campaign. In an effort to observe Harvey's true nature for Commissioner White, Dan agrees to become Milk's official campaign auditor. When talks between White and Maroni quickly turn to violent plotting against Milk and his campaign workers, Wayne soon begins to ponder if his crime fighting ways are for the good of San Frangotham or are compensation for a deeper insecurity... which would be buried with Harvey.
