Cosplay Moving Cat Ears, Take 2!

Here are my moving cat ears actually on my head. I am very happy with how they turned out but there are a few things I'd like to change for the next time.

What I mean to ask, is with the strings down your back, how do you move them? Do you loop them back up? I'm making them as well, but for a cosplay with no sleeves. D:

I have the strings down the sleeves of my shirt and pull the ends with my fingers.

Can also thread them down the back of the costume and pull the bottoms of the strings with your fingers.

what are in those ears? plastic or cotton?

I use flexible nylon plastic inside which strings back into place imminently. That's how they pop back up.

The ears are faux fur and fleece.
