This is part one of H.P. Lovecraft's "The Colour Out of Space".

Listen to it and weep in joy.

It does not contain Cthulhu.

  • @calamagrostis88 I know what you mean. Here's to hoping the Guillermo del Toro "At the Mountains of Madness" movie doesn't suck.

  • On the one hand I wish someone would make a good Lovecraft movie, on the other hand I think it might not live up to my own mental image when I read the books.

  • @TheEvilPuppyLives can't you do one without them?

  • @TheEvilPuppyLives i know it's not your fault. may be the birds are..... some how doing it.... may be .. it's not really a picture.... but their very SOULS!!!!!!! and they want some thing...... ahhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!

  • 'for no other name could fit such a thing, or any other thing, fit such a name'

this guy was one of kind, his influence on sci-fi and horror cannot be overstated.Just a seminal writer and true original, warts and all

really he's shaped a great deal of modern entertainment-if you're alive and read books or watch TV and movies, you've felt his influence

no surprise he wasn't particularly successful or appreciated

true genius seldom is until it's gone

never miss yer water til the well runs dry

  • The Scottish accent initially threw me off on such an American story. But the sensitivity of your reading won me over and by the middle I was listening as attentively as I did when my Father read it to me more than 40 years ago. Bravo! Do it again!

  • Does anyone recall the Lovecraftian movie "In the Mouth of Madness"? It starred Sam "Damien Thorn" Neil. Pretty decent for the creepy factor. As I look back on it, I think it definitely had a Lovecraft element or two.

  • @TheEvilPuppyLives Yeah Pan's Labyrinth is amazing. They're trying really hard to get it made but I think it's because it would be rated an R and no one was willing to put the money in unless it was made into a PG 13 but GDT didn't want to change it.

  • @DontBeSadBeRadd That really sucks. The movie being canceled, not Pan's Labyrinth, that is.

    Pan's Labyrinth was awesome.

  • @TheEvilPuppyLives

The movie has been scrapped, unfortunately.

However, anything Del Toro I think would be amazing. He's a huge fan. Also, have you seen Pans Labyrinth by him? That is a beautiful film, I would entrust him with Lovecraft.
