Occupational Therapy, more commonly associated with assisting the elderly or equipment prescription after an accident or injury, is a little known gold mine of help for children. This workshop provides parents and professionals with an understanding of the skills that occupational therapy can assist children with, focusing particularly upon play, social, attention and academic skill development in the home, child care, kindergarten and school setting.

  • Thanks for simplistic explanations.

  • @OT100able Those that have worked with children, and those that have seen the progress a child can make when their needs are adequately addressed through these techniques will verify its' validity. As a pediatric OT, I wholeheartedly disagree with your statements.

  • Oh man! How ridiculous. OTs of the future, don't take this stuff to heart because it is what's poisoning our profession! Sensory processing here, sensory processing there. Bottom up is yesterday, folks!

  • I'm currently in school going for my degree in OT. Thanks for posting the video.

  • THANK YOU!

  • I'm a pediatric OT and I think this is a great video! Thanks for educating others on SI and occupational therapy...so many people don't understand the importance of what we do.
