So basically, he left everything of his religion because he figured that the teachings was written after a few centuries and not immediately?

@martiandog89 Where do you get your information? I have a library of books that I have read behind me, philosophy books galore, Kant, Nietzsche, Spinoza, Pascal, Berkely, Schopenhaur, Epicurus, et al.
As much as I would love to try and contain in 500 chars or less why jesus is a simple incarnation of a dozen or so roman mythological figures and prove a negative, how about you prove your assertion?
Was jesus real? What proof other than the bible? and what proof of miracles?

@martiandog89 I don't think there was a real jesus. There is no reliable reference that this was even a person outside of the bible.
There are no external documents by roman historians of these "miracles" or any other besides the bible.
There is no documentation that he existed so none that he would have been cruxified.
Sorry, again it's like asking me what kind of fish the Loc Ness monster likes to eat trying to ask me if he pissed off rabbis, I don't follow Melito of Sardis.

@martiandog89 Jesus concept is nothing new. Reading basic greek/roman mythos can show you that.
Parallel 1: Mithra was the son of a god
Parallel 2: He sacrificed himself to absolve mankinds sins
Parallel 3: He was born by "immaculate conception"
Parallel 4: He was adopted by rome ...
Should I keep going? Contrast with Buddhism or Jainism if you can't see why these are parallels.
The persian empire stretched to Rome, Romans (and christians) adopt things. ie yule time.

@AlphaDogmatist Did you watch this on a youtube video or something? I'm just curious.

@AlphaDogmatist Also, who do you think the real Jesus was and what teachings and supposed miracles? Did people believe in him while alive? Did he teach what is claimed? Did he get crucified by Rome? Did he ever say to anyone that their sins are forgiven and eventually ended up pissing off Jewish Rabbis?

@AlphaDogmatist It is a whole different concept my friend, plus the Jews has a coming messiah. Jesus did not dive into the whole story of Mithra. The 25th of decemeber was a pagan holiday of Yule which became his birthday, which is not recognized by anyone alive on earth as his actual birthday. Now I want to hear the compelling parallels that you have found because I have not found them. Jesus was a whole different animal with a different message.

@martiandog89 There is many more parallels to Mithra and jesus, or hercules, or even perseus than would be more in line than horus.
in fact, if you read up on Mithra, it's an almost identical story that was told some 6,000 years before jesus was a thought in anyones head and geographically right in line with the origins of the story.
Oh, and they both died to save mankind, both born on Dec 25th, both born of virgins... etc etc...

@tancheeken Tuck tail and go. I did take notice that you said talking "to" me as opposed to talking "with" me. One of those denotes a two way conversation.
I would suggest the same to you, enjoy it while it lasts, because wishful thinking or not, it is the only one you are going to have.
