If you've been in the real outback, and I'm talking NT and north west WA , they haven't closed down any rail lines because there aren't any. (Except for the iron ore railways of course).

Fact is most city people have no idea, and don't care, how their food gets to the supermarket. Outback and country people have more appreciation, and more common sense.

Yeah thats Mitchells Transports Kibbles on Fatboys trailers. That footage is in WA mate not NT. As has been said, it carted Diesel from Wyndham to the Savannah mine and on its return carted nickel from Savannah Nickel mine, formerly Sally Malay to Wyndham. I used to load the nickel ships in Wyndham. Mitchells trucks were all pieces of crap, always breaking down, so they lost the contract. The good old days

the truck you are looking at is a mitchells t604 from the town of wyndam in north W.A it hauls around 30,000 litres of diesel out to the mines an then brings nikel ore back to the yard in wyndam which is then put on a boat an sent over seas. this truck is called the nigger jigger (no pun intended) its cause of the black fella murals all over it. she runs a c16 cat at 600 horses. the reason i know all this is i used to drive it when it was bran new

those trailers used to be fatboy tankers for mitchels.looks like they cut the top of the taughtliner and made them into flattops?dos anybody know?
