snowboard serious crash snapped acl,pcl,mcl,lcl helicopter rescue in austria

1st day of holiday snowboarding in Austria, me & my mate had a head on crash from not seeing each other with a blind drop in. Collision speed was about 50mph with my left leg taking all the impact. My knee pretty much completely dislocated at 45 degree's. Snapping all my ligaments & tearing my meniscus (cartlidge) which has now been removed. Had to be rescued by helicopter !!! had ketamin & morphine which made me piss my sides until they attempted to put my knee back in & I screamed the mountain down & passed out a few times in the process !!! Pain was off the scale !!! In total I will be having 3 to 4 long operations to rebuild my knee !!

25 mph each - collision of 50mph !!!! cant get a real feel of speed on camera because nothing to compare speed - just white. believe me i dont exaggerate ;(

not sure uf i'll ever get to ride again - still 2 more operations to finish re-building knee. My lib tech & all other snow gear being sold !! buy new if i get back on the snow?? fingers crossed. cheers

shiiiieeet dude, hope you get well and back in the snow. 1st day as well... medical expenses??? that chopper sure as hell didn't come for free. hope you were covered man. i'd gladly give an arm in an accident since i'm ambidextrous when it comes to jacking off, but i'd hate to shed a leg. looks like hell. all the best, mate

i remember looking down at my leg bent the WRONG way kinda like this. only i'd dislocated it by simply standing up from a chair! though i think you did more damage.
