Bill Citty was Public Information Officer for the Oklahoma City Police Department during the April 19, 1995, bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building, and was responsible for handling media from around the world.
Chief Citty began his career with the Oklahoma City Police Department in 1977 and was named Oklahoma City's 48th Chief of Police in 2003, leading a department of 1029 uniformed officers and 237 civilian employees. He worked throughout the Police Department, including Patrol, Narcotics, Homicide, Campus Resource, Tactical Unit, and served as Deputy Chiefover the Administration Bureau. Chief Citty is active in numerous professional organizations and community groups.
