That was so scary and sad boosters are so easy to use i dont understand why people dont use them my child will be in a booster untl she can pass the 5 step test to be with out one i dont careif she's 12 before that happens my kids safety is number 1
I have a huge problem with this whole booster seat thing, especially the comments in the video that seatbelts are made for adults. They're made for an average size adult male. There are a lot of us adults who should still be in a booster by the standards of the 5 step test. Encouraging boosters is a decent 1st step, but it lets the car manufacturers continue to endanger (due to both badly designed seat belts & lack of options for getting further away from the air bag) short adults
@smalls181 and it would have been nice if she had the puffy coat removed too. But good otherwise, I mean in the case where someone has a 4 year old that has outgrown their 40 lb harness and can not afford a higher weight harness seat, then a booster is the safest option available.. but if possible it is best to harness to 5 or 6 or even 7 in some cases depending on maturity even size when we are talking 5 year olds. I posted this to FB for all the nay sayers to my boostered 8.5 year old!
Really good video. I see far too many children riding with the shoulder belt behind their backs, and it can have such deadly consequences. I also wanted to add, if you child isn't mature enough to leave the seat belt alone, he needs to be in a 5 point harness. They make up to 85lbs now, and is far safer than an improperly used booster.
