In the third of the national finals, the seven regional winners in the dessert category go head-to-head for a place in the semi-finals. John Burton Race, Ed Baines and Jilly Goolden judge the efforts of the amateur cooks along with three guest judges - restaurant reviewer Charles Campion, food writer Mary Cadogan and William Sitwell, editor of Waitrose Food Illustrated. But the judges have a tough decision to make, as the contestants raise their game and produce some phenomenal dishes. Mark Nicholas hosts.
