The tragedy of all this is that the prison that confines mankind is their own minds. i actually have to agree with the guy; psychological control has to be limited to as few people as possible to maintain the guise and the post is for life (until the forgetting machines are implemented) so a rotating cycle of politicians wouldn't work. in the US alone there would be a minimum of 610 people that are politicians (congress+5 presidents+5 vice presidents), and that's only one state. i think the real power and manipulation is confined to a few thousand people who control all states.

Yes, I agree, but it only is this way, because, in this day and age, enough people are not religious ( atheist or not) that they don't much care about a person's religion and if they see violence against that person, they will be very disturbed. If you want an example of this, try the dark ages. Ever heard of the inquisition? What do you think that was? If you didn't agree with religion, you were tortured and murdered. that's why religion and state are essentially the same.
